James C. (Jim) Bohnsack
Chris Crosby
Greg Johnson
Jim has dedicated his 20+ year career in a variety of leadership roles in the healthcare industry. Jim’s healthcare experience ranges from strategy to process, services to technology and health systems to corporations. Most recently, Jim served as the Chief Revenue & Strategy Officer for TransUnion Healthcare where he was responsible for corporate strategy, mergers & acquisitions, product development and go-to-market functions. The success at TransUnion resulted in the carve-out and sale of the business to Clearlake Capital and n-Thrive in late 2021.
Prior to returning to TransUnion Healthcare, Jim held leadership positions at Strivant Health, a Dallas-based physician revenue cycle management company, CIOX Health, a New Mountain Capital portfolio company and Conifer Health Solutions, a subsidiary of Tenet Health. Earlier in his career, Jim advised health systems, health plans and physician practices as part of the Strategy & Operations teams at Deloitte and Ernst & Young.
Jim holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Master of Science in Healthcare Administration from Trinity University in San Antonio, TX.
Christopher is an experienced finance professional and dedicated investor with 17 years of expertise as a trusted advisor, chief executive, and managing partner. He spent his first 10+ years post-grad serving some of Deloitte’s largest private equity and strategic clients as a respected Senior Manager in the M&A Transaction Services group. While focused on making partner, an opportunity arose to join a Dallas-based Deloitte client in ORIX Corporation USA. Mr. Crosby proudly spent 4 years at this dynamic investment firm with a $10B+ balance sheet and served in a variety of roles including: Director of Corporate Development, Director of Portfolio Value Creation (to ORIX Parent Co and PE Fund), and CFO of ORIX’s PE flagship portfolio company Network Connex (f/k/a NTI Connect). Thereafter, Christopher spent 2 years as the Managing Partner and CFO of a family office (GrowCo Capital) and CFO to its three respective healthcare services portfolio companies (namely MasVida Health). After successfully exiting MasVida Health to private equity in early 2023, Christopher co-Founded Lakewood Healthcare Capital with his partners.
Christopher has a broad skill set attributed to the unique opportunities afforded in his career and also as an astute investor on behalf of his clients, employers, and as a personal angel investor in early-stage healthcare businesses. He has supported an array of clients with complex issues and projects, engaged in over 100+ buy and sell-side M&A transactions exceeding $50B in TEV, served as an institutional CFO with multiple successful exits, run a multi-faceted family office, and is now focused on developing a best-in-class healthcare-focused independent sponsor group in Lakewood Healthcare Capital.
Mr. Crosby is a graduate of SMU’s Cox School of Business, with a BBA and Masters in Accounting, and is a licensed CPA in the state of Texas.
Greg is an experienced healthcare leader with twenty-five years in the industry. Greg is
currently building a multi-faceted business in consulting, executive coaching and capital
deployment surrounding the acquisition of healthcare services, healthcare technology, and
clinical enterprises. Prior to this, he was the head of strategy and growth for a national
oncology provider. He has spent time in national consulting firms with responsibility for
healthcare consulting sales and delivery, was the Chief Executive Officer of what was then the
largest independent cardiovascular group in Dallas/Fort Worth and he was part of the team
that launched the telemedicine service Doctor on Demand. Greg is a strategy and operations
expert across healthcare systems, physician practices and service companies.
Greg has been married for 25 years and has three children. He is a graduate of Texas A&M
University and Trinity University. He is active in his community, serving on the boards of Young
Life, Forerunner Mentoring, Lake Highlands High School Athletic Booster Club and on the
national board of the YMCA of the Rockies. Greg is an avid outdoorsman, cyclist and amateur
chef and enjoys reading and time with friends when away from work. He is also the High
Adventure Coordinator for Boy Scout Troop 890 and is part of the teaching team at Park Cities
Baptist Church.
Greg is currently helping companies innovate and transform from within and is in the process of
writing his first book, a collection of essays of observations about business and personal topics
that he’s picked up during his career.
Matt McMurphy
Matt is an experienced investor, lawyer and healthcare operator with over 20 years of combined experience. Prior to Lakewood, Matt was a partner at Broadgate Capital responsible for acquisitions and oversight of portfolio companies.
Matt previously performed various executive-level acquisition, operations, strategy, integration, and business development functions at Encompass Home Health & Hospice and Radiant Healthcare Services, and served as General Counsel at both companies. Over his career at Encompass, Matt closed more than 25 acquisitions in a little over 3 years, including Encompass's sale to HealthSouth Corporation at the end of 2014. Matt started his career as a transactional attorney focused on M&A and private equity representation.
Matt holds a JD from The University of Texas at Austin and a BS in Policy Analysis (Economics and Government) from Cornell University.
Marc Schmidt
Marc is an accomplished healthcare executive with experience in operations, finance and strategic planning focused on senior populations and value-based care. Most recently, Marc served as a Regional President at naviHealth prior to its acquisition by Optum. At naviHealth, he oversaw clinicians/provider relations specialists across 21 states providing utilization management and care coordination to over 2M at-risk lives across Medicare Advantage, capitated physicians, and ACO/BPCI. Prior to naviHealth, Marc worked in strategic planning and operations roles for Golden Living, a large diversified post-acute healthcare provider.
Earlier in his career, Marc was a management consultant with Bain and Deloitte, where he served clients across multiple industries with a focus on growth strategy, M&A diligence, and performance improvement.
Marc holds a BA in Economics/Spanish from Vanderbilt University and an MBA in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin McCombs School of Business. Marc is married with two daughters and enjoys spending time outside of work playing tennis and traveling.
Vance Wells
Vance is a serial entrepreneur with multiple exits to public companies. Most recently he co-founded Integrated Care Technologies (ICT), where he serves as President. ICT is a multi-disciplinary value-based care platform with an initial focus on musculoskeletal (MSK) disorders. He engages in strategy, product and management consulting projects for healthcare and health tech companies, private equity and venture capital firms.
Prior to ICT, Vance co-founded and served as Chief Operating Officer and President of the North American Spine business at Athas Health. Athas Health created a patient acquisition platform for multiple surgical modalities. Vance was responsible for building and running the marketing and inside sales teams as well as architecting the Athas proprietary software platform.
Vance holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tulsa and an MBA from Columbia Business School. He is married with two teenage daughters and spend his spare time watching them play volleyball, cooking, and traveling with his family.
